Come in Shanghai in the end of August 2007 for 2 weeks

hello, bonjour, ni hao !

I have learned Mandarin for 2 years and I wish to come to Shanghai to improve my Chinese. I think my arrival towards approximately the 20 or 25 August and I will stay 2 weeks.
I seek an “inn of youth” at reasonable price, but can be could you advise me another solution.

I wish to be close to the “Bund” if possible.
My objective is to be in contact with Chinese People to be able to speak, exchange, and why not take lessons the morning if I find somebody (who speaks a little French it would be well) :)

I wish to visit Shanghai and his surroundings, but I would also like to know Shanghai of the night (pubs, night-clubs,…)

"inn of youth" is a good choice, but you'd better to book in advance if you want one close to the "bund". You also may be need choose a place close to metro station as well, Shanghai is huge, metro is the best way to travel in the city. Since the closet metro station to the "bund" is "HeNan Rd" metro station, you can choose a hotel close to it.

yes, Samir, it's good for you to book the room first, and besides "inn of youth", motel is also a good choice,
